MOVE FORWARD COACHING PROGRAM

Break Generational Patterns with a Parent and Health Coach

The goal isn’t less rigor. It’s healthier rigor, grounded in values, identity, and balance.

Many of us were raised with a checklist mentality- do well in school, be productive, look a certain way, keep it together.

Even when these messages start from healthy places, valuing effort, achievement, discipline, and health, they can quietly become distorted when taken to extremes. In today’s checklist-driven, overachievement culture, many kids, teens, and young adults grow up doing all the right things yet still describe feeling “empty,” “lost,” or unsure of what comes next, even when they look successful on paper.

Breaking these patterns isn’t about lowering standards or doing less. Rigor is healthy. Structure is healthy. Caring about health is healthy. The challenge is that the needle has moved too far toward constant achievement and external markers of success, and away from balance, family values, and defining success based on an individual’s interests, abilities, skills, and passions.

The work here is about restoring that balance: understanding why pressure shows up, how it shapes coping, and how to help kids build a sense of identity, purpose, and well-being that isn’t dependent on checking the next box.

That’s where I come in.

As a parent and board-certified health coach, I support families in identifying early signs of pressure-related coping, including anxiety, ADHD overwhelm, disordered eating, body image struggles, and perfectionism, before they escalate. My work helps parents move away from control, fear, and overcorrection, and toward connection, clarity, and confidence.

Through personalized, evidence-based coaching, we focus on:

  • reducing pressure and “all-or-nothing” thinking

  • supporting healthy coping and nervous system regulation

  • building a positive, flexible relationship with food and body

  • creating sustainable routines around sleep, nutrition, and stress

  • strengthening the parent–child relationship as the foundation for change

Food, body image, emotions, and expectations don’t need to be battles. With the right support, they become natural, calmer conversations — and opportunities for growth.

I use my signature 7-step Move FORWARD program, designed to strengthen resilience, promote positive coping strategies, and improve essential habits such as nutrition, sleep, and stress management. This holistic approach empowers both parents and children to move toward a healthier, more balanced life.

Move FORWARD

The FORWARD Method: A Parent & Wellness Coaching Framework for Understanding Pressure, Coping, and Healing Around Food, Body, and Behavior

My FORWARD method is a 7-step, personalized coaching process designed to guide parents and adults as they support their child or themself through healing. This framework helps you feel confident, connected, and clear on how to be the anchor you or your child needs, while building a comprehensive, coordinated plan for healing.

Clients come to me to achieve a healthier balance between pursuing life goals and maintaining mental and physical well-being. Stress often disrupts this balance, leading to anxiety, overwhelm, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, poor sleep, or unhealthy nutrition habits. Whether an individual or a parent supporting a child, they may feel unhealthy, stuck, unmotivated, or unsure how to move forward.

I specialize in guiding clients through an evidence-based 7-step program built on the following pillars: Family, Fit, and Flow. This approach fosters resilience, positive coping strategies, and improved essential habits like sleep, nutrition, and stress management. Together, we work toward a balanced, healthier life while achieving meaningful goals.

Below are the details of the Move FORWARD program:

  • F — Focus on Family Values

We begin by clarifying your family’s core values and vision for health, connection, and healing. These values become the foundation for your parenting decisions and how you show up for your child. Together, we reframe what physical and mental health look like in your unique family system, helping you lead with purpose instead of fear.

  • O — Organize and Oversee the Care Team

You don’t have to manage this alone. I help you identify, organize, and collaborate with the key professionals you or your child needs—therapists, dietitians, doctors, and school supports. I fill in the gaps, helping you coordinate care so everyone is working toward the same goal. I’ll guide you through what questions to ask, how to advocate for your child, and how to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • R — Recognize Generational Patterns

We look at how your own upbringing and family history around stress, pressure, achievement, food, body image, and emotions may be impacting your life and/or parenting today. Together, we break cycles of shame, perfectionism, mental health or diet culture, and create a healthier, more compassionate narrative for your family moving forward.

  • W — What to Say (and Not to Say)

Many parents worry they’ll say the wrong thing. I provide scripts and communication strategies for difficult conversations, whether it’s around meals, emotions, or body image. You’ll learn what helps (and what can unintentionally hurt), so you can talk with your child in ways that build trust, safety, and connection.

  • A — Anchor Yourself with Emotional Regulation

Your child needs you to be their safe harbor. We focus on helping you regulate your own emotions, so you can respond calmly instead of reacting out of fear or frustration. You’ll learn strategies to stay grounded, even in the hardest moments, and how to model resilience for your child.

  • R — Rebuild Relationships, Instill Resilience

General anxiety or unhealthy eating habits and potential eating disorders often strain family relationships. I support you in rebuilding connection with your child by focusing on attunement, presence, and empathy. Whether trust has been broken or communication feels tense, you’ll learn how to repair and strengthen your bond, without stepping into the role of "police.”

  • D — Develop a Roadmap for Long-Term Wellness

Develop a roadmap for long-term healing because it can be a journey, not a straight line. Together, we create a sustainable, long-term plan tailored to your child and family.

At the end of our 6 weeks together you will have the following items in place:

  • A clear plan for what to do next
  • Tools to help your child (and yourself) feel safe and supported
  • Confidence that you’re not alone and you’re doing this right
  • Support between therapy and doctor visits
  • A trusted parent and health coach who gets it and guides you along the way

The FORWARD program gives parents the tools, confidence, and support to help their child heal.

I help you move from stress and chaos to finding calm and connection with a plan in place so you can know your child will be okay. You will be better equipped to anticipate and be ready for challenges, celebrate progress, and adjust the plan as needed, so you feel confident navigating the twists and turns of healing.

You’ll leave with a clear roadmap, knowing how to support your child today and into the future.

What You’ll Gain from Working with a Parent and Health Coach:

  • A clear understanding of what’s happening and the next steps to take
  • Tools to communicate with your child without causing added stress
  • Emotional regulation strategies to show up calm and steady
  • Guidance in coordinating your child’s care team (therapists, doctors, schools)
  • Language support for what to say (and not to say) around food and body image
  • The ability to identify and break unhealthy generational patterns
  • Rebuilt trust and a stronger connection with your child

As your parent and health coach, my mission is to support your family in creating lasting change so your child can thrive with confidence, resilience, and a healthy relationship with food and body.
