Beyond The Checklist Book Club

A 5-Week Virtual Book Club

Many parents and adults are following a quiet checklist for success, even when it no longer fits.

This 5-week virtual book club is a guided, small-group conversation for parents and adults navigating pressure, expectations, and “what’s next?” moments, whether that pressure shows up in your family, your work, or your own sense of identity.

Led by Siah Fried, MPH, NBC-HWC, public health educator, nationally board-certified health and wellness coach, and certified parent coach, the group uses two evidence-based parenting guidebooks as a guide for reflection and discussion, not as homework to “get right.”

Together, we’ll explore:

  • how a narrow definition of success gets passed down
  • why pressure and perfectionism often show up as coping strategies
  • how expectations around achievement can pull people away from their strengths, values, and passions
  • what it looks like to redefine success in ways that support long-term well-being, confidence, and connection

This is not a therapy group and not a lecture series.

It’s a thoughtful, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of patterns, without judgment or fixing.
